William Frank Patterson, Jr. aka Poppy, Padre, Uncle Frank, and Coach, of

Montgomery, Texas, originally from Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on February 20, 2025. His sudden loss will leave a large hole in many hearts. His love for his family, friends and students was indisputable and his laughter and stories would light up any room.

He was born in Moultrie, Georgia on February 16, 1957 to Shirley Arrington

Bowen and William Frank Patterson Sr. and that's where his love for his beloved wife of 45 years, Tina and the Georgia Bulldogs began. He always credited his passion for sports, teaching and coaching, to his former coaches and mentors of the Colquitt County Packers.

He was a devoted husband, caring father, outstanding Poppy, Navy veteran, an inspiring teacher and coach in CyFair ISD, and the biggest Georgia Bulldogs fan in all of Texas! He was loved by so many due to his endless caring nature and the countless stories he was always telling.

His family and friends have fond memories of him playing softball, coaching his son's teams, camping, having crawfish boils, dancing with his wife and always being there for his grandbabies. You didn't have to be his blood to be his family!

Frank was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Tina Wisham Patterson; his son, William Frank Patterson III; his daughter, Kelly Helton and her husband, Tony; his grandchildren, Emma & AJ Helton; his brother, Mike "Catfish" Patterson and wife Kay; his sister Dana Fortenberry and husband Darryl; and many other close family and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Klein Funeral Homes, 14711 FM 1488 in Magnolia, Texas. The viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m.
