Doerun, GA - Mrs. Vickie Gay, 70, of Doerun died Wednesday July 23, 2025 at her residence.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday July 27, 2025 at Banks Funeral Home. The Rev. Al Sherling officiated.
Mrs. Gay was born on January 4, 1955 in Camilla to the late William and Irma Varnadoe Apperson, Jr. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was retired from Tifton Sports Medicine . Mrs. Gay enjoyed shopping working in her garden and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Giles (Roger Lott); stepchildren, Tancey Glover and Toby Glover; grandchildren, Haylen Giles, Savanna Lott , Payton Lott, Tanner Giles, Mila Lott, Meralynne Giles, Kylie Curles and Kaylee Curles; great grandchild, Paxton Scott and a host of extended family.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Gay was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Glover on March 21, 2025; son-in-law, Tony Giles; step-son, Trenton Glover; grandson, Trenton Curles; siblings, Wayne Apperson, Karen Apperson and Ricky Apperson.
The family received friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
