"It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Traci Zebley Newsome, 63, of Moultrie, GA. Surrounded by family & friends, she peacefully passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on July 21, 2024 after fighting serious medical issues this past year.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Thomasville First Baptist Church at 10:00 am on Saturday - July 27th, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Traci was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on April 13, 1961 to the late Richard Clarence Zebley and Helen Louise Terwilleger Zebley. She served as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at Archbold Memorial Hospital and Home Health Services in Thomasville. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and supporting all things soccer. She was known for her steadfast love and dedication to her family and friends. Full of love, laughter, tenacity, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. We are grateful for her loving example all these years. She will be greatly missed. We love you forever.

Survivors include: her son, Garrett Newsome (Chelsea) of Moultrie, GA, granddaughter Avery Paige Newsome, Eugene Zebley (Darlene) of Moultrie, GA, and nieces & nephews Evan Zebley (Lisa), Erin Ricks (Caleb), Ethan Zebley, Brooke Barfield, Hawke Ricks, and Sawyer Ricks."
