Tony Jefferson Cooper
MOULTRIE- Tony Jefferson Cooper, 80, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Matt Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Taylor Cooper, Sam Stinson, Justin Broome, Bo Anderson, Logan Dean and Matt Davis.
Born March 31, 1939 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Taylor Jefferson "Buck" Cooper and Edna Jane Hester Cooper. Mr. Cooper was the retired service manager with Lasseter Tractor Company, with forty-seven years of service. He served in the National Guard and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mr. Cooper was an avid woodworker and was very dedicated to his career. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather that dearly loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sonia Webb.
Survivors include his wife, Nina Maxine Brannon Cooper of Moultrie; five children, Sherry Davis and Russ of Moultrie, Sheila McIntire and Melvin Kelley of Pavo, Lynn Paramore and Billy of Norman Park, Jeff Cooper and Christie, Gwen Singley and Kenny, all of Moultrie; one sister, Helen Alexander and Dale of Moultrie; two brothers, Wandell Cooper of Norman Park and Emory Cooper of Sugar Valley, Ga.; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Friday, January 31, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
