Services for Rosalyn (Roz) Tillotson Herndon will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 20. 2019 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richard Trawick will officiate. Roz passed away on December 17, 2019. Born on June 12, 1927 she was the daughter of the late W.E. Tillotson and Edith "Bootie" Miller. She was married for 60 years to the late Wilda Cleo Herndon, who preceded her in death. Roz was a member of Morningside United Methodist Church and was a retired educator with the Thomas County School System. Because of her faith and love of Christ, her message to us is "As I am fully persuaded that to be absent from My body will mean that I am present with My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is My wish and prayer that those who remain behind rejoice in my graduation to Heaven and that all who take note of my passing, give glory to God for His grace and mercy and themselves be prepared through faith in Jesus Christ and repentance of sin to follow me to Heaven". She is survived by her son, Ray Hilton Herndon (Linda) of Thomasville; three grandchildren, John Herndon (Jessica), Katie Pope (Kevin), and Kimberly Hand (Jason); and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband and daughter, Robin D. Herndon. Friends and family are invited to visit her online memorial tribute page at wwww.allenfh.com.
