Mr. Robert C. "Buddy" Schofill, Jr., 62, of Adel, Georgia, passed away February 18, 2016 at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. He was born June 25, 1953 in Douglas, Georgia to his late parents, Robert Chester Schofill, Sr. and Susie Frances Davis Schofill. He lived most of his life in Cook County where he was a member of New Life Baptist Church and worked as a brick mason.

Mr. Schofill is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Jessica Schofill of Moultrie, Georgia; five daughters and sons-in-law: Mandy and Jody Ledford of Thomasville, Georgia, Donna and Alan Dixon of Adel, Faith and Jason McDonald of Adel, Crystal Schofill and Ray Hunt of Adel, Michelle and Michael Petty of Naylor, Georgia; two step-sons and a daughter-in-law: Freelon and Jennifer Gay of Sparks, Georgia, and Wesley Gellatt of Adel; grandchildren: Ailee Schofill, Kale Schofill, Keelyn Schofill all of Moultrie, Garrett Ledford and Davis Ledford of Thomasville, Georgia, Hunter Dixon, Colt Dixon, Alyssa McDonald, Alexis Scofill, Tyler Hunt, Caitlin Davis, all of Adel, Waylan Petty and Brayleigh Petty, both of Naylor; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary and Vonnie Schofill of Nashville, Georgia, Richard and Rhett Schofill of Valdosta, Georgia; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia and David Sanders of Adel, Carolyn and Carl Vredeveld of Lake Park, Georgia; nieces and nephews: Scott and Laurie Schofill of Hahira, and Melissa and Lee Roberts of Adel. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren: Cole Gardner, Andrew Ledford and John Parker Ledford.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Boone Funeral Home, 1804 S. Hutchinson Ave., in Adel. The funeral service will be held Sunday February 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Duncan and Rev. Danny Ray officiating.
