Rev. James Robert
MOULTRIE -- Rev. James Robert "Shot" Sellers, 94, of Moultrie died Friday, December 6, 2019 at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 2 P.M. at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. S. E. Newberry and Rev. Stuart Bundy officiating. Casketbearers will be Jackie Hiers, Ike Davis, Randall Croy, William Boyd, Gary Milam and Jeff Johnson.
Bro. Sellers was born May 12, 1925 in Toombs County, the son of the late Atha Matilda Purdue Sellers and Fred Robert Sellers. He retired from Swift and Company as a Supervisor in the Beef Dressing Department and was a Free Will Baptist Minister pastoring several churches in the Moultrie area.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife Jane Juanita Croy Sellers, son Robert Lamar Sellers, brothers Theodore Sellers, H.D. Sellers, Haywood Sellers, sisters Marie Sellers, Euphema Sellers, Wilma Newsome and Matrah Smith and a step-sister Nadine Lamb; step-brother Sanford Davis and Lanford Davis.
He is survived by his wife Frances Castleberry Sellers of Moultrie; daughter Judy Peacock and husband Felton of Moultrie; grandchildren David Zimmerman, Shane Zimmerman, Buffy Peacock and Brandy Hickman; great-grandchildren Alissa King, Jessica Hickman, Savannah Hickman, ZackThomas Hickman, Makenzie Peacock, Mikah Jenkins, Kendale Shane Zimmerman and Taylor Zimmerman and Sophie Zimmerman; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters Nadine Bryant of Moultrie, Jean Sheffield of Moultrie and Ellen Carlton of Albany; step-children Angela Summerlin of Moultrie and Rodney Truett of Texas.
Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Memorials can be made to the church of your choice.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Sellers was one of the most admirable ministers I have known. His trust in and love of Jesus was always apparent.
God bless his family and praying for comfort and hopefully the remembrance of this man will bring them more love and joy.
