After graduating from Moultrie High School, she had planned to attend Emory University to become a pharmacist, but even after her father had sent their first payment, she had her heart stolen by Robert Earl Harris and went with him to serve our country as an Army wife. Later upon returning to Moultrie, she worked for 35 years at Riverside Manufacturing Company as a marker planner. Mrs. Harris was a member of Autreyville Baptist Church who served in the nursery for almost 30 years where she could love on babies. She will be forever missed, not only by her family but by many sweet friends who will look forward to seeing her again someday.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Harris.
Survivors include her daughter, Sydney Harris Wing and husband Jonathan of Augusta; sister, Barbara Plymel Hall of Moultrie and daughter Heather Leigh Cowan and husband Matt; brother, Ron Plymel and Vi of Tallahassee, Florida and sons Justin Plymel and Shane Plymel and his son Shane Plymel Jr.; niece, Ginger McQueen Reeves, husband John and son John Walter McQueen Reeves who thought of Mrs. Harris as a grandmother and called her Mimi; cousin, Marsha Barker Harris; aunt Patricia Knox of Moultrie.
