Moultrie, GA - Mr. Odis Lavone Crosby, Sr. was born on July 19, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia he was the son of the late Odis Mason Crosby and the late Pearly Mae McMillan Crosby. Mr. Crosby passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Crosby worked at the local Moultrie Radio Station WMTM as a disc jockey for 18 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Archie Mason Crosby and Danny Ray Crosby, Sr.; sister, Betty Joyce Richardson; and brother-in-law, Bobbie Richardson.
He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Odis Lavon Crosby, Jr. "HotShot" of Alibene, Texas, Archie Lavon Crosby (Shasta) of Alibene, Texas and Jimmy Lavon Crosby who is stationed in Africa; one daughter, Marcia Zavon Shumway of Alibene, Texas; one sister, Nettie Chezell Crosby Vinson of Moultrie, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and other relatives friends.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 110 28th Ave. NW, Moultrie.
