Mrs. Todd was the wife of the late Samuel B. Todd. She was born January 23, 1932 to the late W. Ralph and Thelma J. McCord of Sylvester. She was a loving mother to Carol Todd of Moultrie and Keith (Candice) Todd of Peachtree Corners, a proud grandmother to their sons James and Christopher Todd, a loving sister to Louise McCord Jones (Delmas) of Glennville, and special aunt to Amy Jones Brown of Pooler, Christy (Brad) Jones Tatum of Glennville, Beth Tyson of Conyers, and Dean (Kimberly) Tyson of Grand Rapids, MI, and several great nieces and nephews, all of whom survive her. Mrs. Todd was a member at Trinity Baptist Church, Moultrie, for nearly 60 years. She served in multiple capacities at the church, but she especially enjoyed the many years of teaching four and five-year olds in Sunday School and her volunteer time as an office assistant preparing the church's Evangel newsletter for mailing. She loved the Lord and witnessed through Vacation Bible School, as well as the Women's Missionary Union programs and projects, and visitation records she administered. Mrs. Todd dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a devoted care giver to her husband, her father and her mother during their illnesses. She held a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Valdosta State University (1953) and was an honor graduate and student leader in the class of 1949 at Sylvester High School. Throughout her life she was a loyal friend to many of her classmates, cousins, fellow church members, neighbors and the residents at Cobblestone Health and Rehab Center, where she enjoyed participating in the crafts activities over the last 6 years.
