Hartsfield, GA - Maxine "Mackey" Davis Billingsley, 88, of Hartsfield, GA, passed away on Friday - May 8, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Berlin Baptist Church on Sunday - May 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at the Davis Cemetery in Henderson, TX.

Maxine was born in Henderson, TX on August 10, 1937 to the late Thomas Richardson Davis and Flora Marvell Broome Davis. She was a graduate of Henderson High School and Heritage Baptist College in Indiana. She was married to her husband Stanley Billingsley for over 50 years, who survives in Hartsfield, GA. She worked as a Medical Assistant for a Neurosurgeon Dr. Paul Stein for over 30 years. She was a member of Berlin Baptist Church where she served Sunday School in the Nursery. Maxine and her husband Stanley owned a hotel in Bainbridge, GA, where she also worked as a telephone operator and office clerk. Later in life she retired to being a housewife, and Pastors wife, and loved her ladies Sunday school class. Above all, she will be remembered most for being the best mother and grandmother to her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered and forever be in the hearts of those who loved her.

She is survived by; her husband, Stanley Billingsley of Hartsfield, GA, her children, Debbie Coleman (Ken) of Hartsfield, GA, Tammy Herbert (Charlie) of Milford, TX, and Jay Rodgers (Shirley) of Waxahachie, TX, stepchildren, Samuel Billingsley (Beth) of Dallas, TX, Daniel Billingsley of Dallas, TX, Michael Billingsley (Vicky) of Coppel, TX and Joel Billingsley (Candace) of Dallas, TX, grandchildren, Heather Hutto-Leon (Derek), Heath Hutto (Amethyst), McKenlee Coleman, Clay Rodgers (Kathryn), Cole Rodgers (Anne), Amanda Pittman, Casey Kimes, Tandy Hartfield (Joey), Travis Joeris, Sam Billingsley (Shawna), Kay Reynolds (Shane), Drew Billingsley (Sarah), John Paul Billingsley (Nicole), Dana Billingsley Torres (Victor), Jaquelyn Alejandro (Antonio), Michael Billingsley, Jr. (Katy), Nicole Cook (Paul), Christopher Billingsley (Amy), Matthew Billingsley (Ricki), Christian Davies, and Sarah Billingsley. Plus over 30 great grandchildren and special family friends Tami and Danny Ward.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Billie Adams, Joyce Faulkner, Maudine Adams, Glen Ray Davis, and Tommie Davis.
