After Billy's passing, she moved back to FL where she attended South Fern Creek Community Church in Orlando. She returned to Rome in the spring of 2023 where she lived in Armuchee.

Ann loved to laugh and be silly, and never met a stranger. She was known to say, "It's just as easy to be nice to people as it is to be mean...and a lot more fun for both." After knowing a person for only a short time she would say good-bye with, "God bless you...I love you!". As she aged, Ann often quoted the title from a book by Art Linlkletter: "Getting Old Ain't For Sissys!!" but, living for over 90 years, she proudly wore the badge of, "Tough Ol' Bird".

The last surviving child of 10 born to her late parents, Early Alvin and Mamie Lee (Thurman) Moore. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, DeLayne Martin; her husband, Billy Hembree, and all of her brothers and sisters, her granddaughter, Me Me King, and her grandson, Reggie Denny.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Debbie Martin, Judy Denny (Randall), Cherryll Yates (Johnny), Gale Young (Alan), Wyndye Farley (Mark Rhodes), and her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
