MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Mary Ellen "Pat" Thomason Dykes, 83, of Moultrie, died Thursday, October 10, 2019 at her home.
Graveside rites will be held 2:00PM Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Born December 30, 1935 in Sylvester, she was the daughter of the late Bert Thomason and Ruth Cody Thomason. Mrs. Dykes retired from the Department of Family and Children Services as a case worker with 24 1/2 years of service. She was a member of Funston Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Dykes; brothers and sisters, Tom Thomason, Lucy Meredith, Coleman Thomason, Freeman Thomason and Laverne Hiers.
Survivors include her children, Valerie Bishop, Missy Dykes, both of Moultrie, Vaughn Dykes and Heidy of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Jeremy Dykes and Brittany, Natasha Golden and Zach, Justin Dykes, Tania Dykes, Sean Dykes and Mariah, Juliana Hoff and Sam; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Barnett of Perry, FL.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

My sympathies. Pat worked at DFCS with my late Mother, Mamie Rentz for many years. She always had something good to say about Pat.
Good bless you all. My Mother passed in 2015. I will NEVER get over her loss. I ask God to remember you all in the coming days, months & years.
