MOULTRIE - Commissioner Luke Strong, Jr., 70, was born April 4, 1947, the son of Luke Strong, Sr. and Mamie Strong Brown in Moultrie, Georgia. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Lakeside Assembly of God. Entombment service will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with a reception to follow in the E.H. Hopkins Fellowship Hall of Mother Easter Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Betty A. Strong; one son, Luke Strong III (Renita) of Moultrie, Georgia; five daughters, Dr. Pamela Simmons (Sherman) of Kernersville, North Carolina; Dr. Fonda Thompson (Ira), Chief Kimberly Persley (Chief Michael) of Albany, Georgia; Dorothy Strong of Atlanta, Georgia; Sarah Strong of Moultrie, Georgia; three sisters, Christine Strong Alderman, Chestine Strong Waldon, Patricia Strong Putnum; one brother, John Leon Strong all of Moultrie, Georgia; three grandsons, Luke Strong IV, Tyrell Wright Jr. and Landon Strong; one granddaughter, Leah Strong and the entire Colquitt County Community.

Visitation Service will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Luke Strong And Son Mortuary.
