Jimmy Joshua (Josh) Saunders Obituary
Norman Park, Georgia - Jimmy Joshua (Josh) Saunders, 78, of Norman Park, Georgia, passed away on April 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Josh was a hardworking man, contracting with Proctor and Gamble for almost 20 years, and owning his excavation and hay baling business. He was never afraid of long days or a tough job.
He loved joking and laughing, often sharing humor in his own quiet way. He didn't always show his emotions, but those who knew him well understood the depth of his love and care.
Josh faithfully attended his favorite Sunday School class at Southside Baptist Church, and also treasured his daily routine of meeting friends in Norman Park for breakfast.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Saunders, and children, Timothy Keith Saunders, Amanda Casey, Selena DeConti (Bob), Joyclynn Saylor (Brett), Shelly Sinclair (Keith), and Alaina Damara; his brothers, Jerry Saunders (Cindy), Jack Saunders, and Buddy Saunders; his sisters, Jeanette Swilley, and Janice Truluck (Steve). He had fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Henry (W.H.) Saunders and his mother, Eunice Cloteel Saunders.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the social hall of Southside Baptist Church in Norman Park, GA. This will be a casual gathering, and the family warmly welcomes everyone to bring a favorite dish and join in sharing food, fellowship, and cherished memories—just as Josh would have loved.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
