Jean  Edwards
Mrs. Jean Edwards, 90, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Magnolia Manor in Moultrie. The daughter of the late Zera Darrell Storey and Mattie Wetherington Storey, she was born on March 28, 1929 in Lowndes County but lived most of her life in Colquitt County. Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker and retired florist. She was a member of the Adel Church of Christ.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clark and Linda Edwards of Moultrie; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Linda Johnson of Valdosta, GA, Brenda and Junior Key of Norman Park, GA, Glenda and Eddie Walden of Moultrie; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; five brothers: Junior D. Storey of Thomasville, GA, Vincent Jerrell Storey of Cartersville, GA, Don L. Storey of Sparks, GA, Laurie B. Storey of Quitman, GA and Dwight D. Storey of Pensacola, FL; and two sisters: Phyllis Hancock of Macon, GA and Faye Cline of Canton, GA. Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Edwards; two grandchildren, Todd Johnson and Tabb Johnson; three brothers: Ferrell Ronnie and Dudley Storey; and a sister, Nell Griffin.
The funeral service for Mrs. Edwards will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Adel Church of Christ with Bro. Roger Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery in Cook County with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday evening February 6, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home South (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave.) in Adel.
