Jason Smith Searcy
Jason Smith Searcy, 44, of Ivey, formerly of Moultrie, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Navicent Health Center in Macon.
Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Trey Eakins officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be David Ogletree, Michael Snipes, John Reynolds, Chad Bryant, Cat Bozeman, Tommy Strickland and Nickolas Henson.
Born November 26, 1974 in Moultrie, he was the son of Linda Smith of Moultrie and the late Larry Searcy. Mr. Searcy was a construction worker with C.W. Matthews Company. His family remembers how he loved to fish, loved the GA Bulldogs and country music.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Arthur Wayne Smith.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his fiancée Melinda Kent of Ivy GA.; sisters and brothers, Tracy Searcy of Las Vegas NV, Vicki Reynolds and Rex, Bo Sprunger and Dianne, Chris Smith all of Moultrie GA, Lisa Bryan of Ellenton; children, Colby Roberts of Texas, Tyler Cobb of Moultrie, Shyanne Roberts of Ivy GA; seven grandchildren.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

I’ve known Jason most of my childhood, Jason was such a great man and so fun to be around when I was a kid. I knew Jason from his past and watched him turn his life around to serve God! Jason is loved so much! I’m so thankful for the memories I have of him! Heaven is a sweeter place now that your there Jason Searcy!
