Mr. Glenn Lamar Boyer, 74, of Tifton passed away on June 17, 2021 at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, June 21, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
David Walker, Ernest Hancock, Randy Hickey, Jay Parrish, Chuck Snyder and Anthony Giudicy will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Boyer was born September 23, 1946 in Irwin County to the late Edward Glennon Boyer and Ruby Christine Heard Boyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Hall. Mr. Boyer was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton and retired from Shaw Industries after forty-two years. He graduated in 1966 from the Georgia School for the deaf in Cave Spring, Georgia. Mr. Boyer was a loving person who never met a stranger. He was always happy go lucky and a big hugger. Even with a hearing impairment he continued to prosper.
Mr. Boyer is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Hancock Boyer; his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Steven Gregory of Moultrie; his son, Lamar Boyer and Mark Shiver of Tifton; his grandson, Austin Gregory Wilson of Moultrie; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Ed Scull of Waterloo and Brenda and Terry Snyder of Sycamore and his dog "Odie".
