Carl Milton Dasher, age 83, of Moultrie, GA, passed away on June 4, 2024. He was born on January 12, 1941, in Moultrie, GA. Carl led a remarkable life filled with dedication and service to his country, community, and family.

Carl's professional journey was marked by excellence and commitment. He served as an aviation manager and financial controller at Eastern Airlines for 27 years, followed by roles at Arby's Corp and Riverside Christian Ministry. Trained as a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor, Carl's passion for aviation shone brightly. His time in the United States Air Force further exemplified his patriotic spirit.

Beyond his career, Carl was deeply involved in various community organizations. He dedicated his time to AARP, serving in multiple leadership roles and advocating for important causes like Alzheimer's awareness. His impact extended to Palm Springs North Civic Association, North Dade Citizens, and Miami-Dade County, where he was elected as Councilman and contributed meaningfully to his community.

In his personal life, Carl found joy in dancing every weekend, organizing Senior dances, participating in water aerobics and teaching driver's safety classes. He cherished moments with his family, including daughters Beverly Conley (Peter) and Suzanne Sanchez (Rick), son Joey Kent, sister Susie Payne (Travis), grandchildren, David Conley (Tiffany), Emily Lightsey (Drew), Daniel Conley (Natalie), Ricky Sanchez (Dani), Robby Sanchez (Kati), Remmy Sanchez, Savvy Sanchez, great-grandchildren, Serena Sanchez, Eleanor Lightsey and Eliza Lightsey, and special friend Pat Ray.

Carl is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruthie Anne Dasher, parents Carl A. Dasher, Jr. and Mary Dasher, and brothers Warren Dasher and Al Dasher. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service that will be remembered by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m., with visitation Friday at Parrott Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Westview Cemetery in Moultrie, GA at 1:30 p.m.
