FUNSTON, Ga. -- Mary Etta Norman Jackson, 90, of Funston, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.
Graveside rites were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Albritton officiating.
Born March 11, 1927 in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Joel Norman and Maggie Smith Norman. Mrs. Jackson was a retired bee keeper and owner of the Funston Mart and a member of Funston Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Robert Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Eugene "Gene" Jackson and wife Jacki of Bonifay, Fla., Danny Reice Jackson and wife Terry of Funston, Ga.; five grandchildren, Marnie Jackson Skipper, Melissa Jackson Clemmons, Layla Jackson Powell, Amanda Leslie Jackson Pritchett and Daniel Corey Jackson; nine great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Edward Skipper, Jordan Elizabeth Skipper, Reagan Abigail Clemmons, Evan Matthew Clemmons, Lily Tyler Jackson, Allison Reed Jackson, Cade Matthew Barden, Thaxton Powell and Braize Powell.
The family will receive friends after the graveside service on Saturday at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
