MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Kelvin David Spurlock, 63, of Moultrie, Ga., died Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Funston Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. A private family interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born May 28, 1954 in Auburndale, Fla., he was the son of the late Samuel Baker Spurlock and Winona Estelle Wells Spurlock. Mr. Spurlock retired from Tri State Inns as an area supervisor and was a member of Funston Baptist Church. His family remembers how he was a Christian man and loved to witness to others about his Lord. He served as a Lay Pastor and the former choir director at Funston Baptist Church. Mr. Spurlock loved his family and friends and enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Spurlock Barnwell.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Castleberry Spurlock of Moultrie, Ga.; three daughters, Keri Wilkes and Jason of Moultrie, Ga., Kaci Sparkman and Ryan, Kati Stephan and Eddie, all of Doerun, Ga.; four grandchildren, RayLee Sparkman, Jake Wilkes, Ross Sparkman and Kaelyn Wilkes; brother, Sam Spurlock and Pamela of Moultrie, Ga.; brother-in-law, Kenneth Barnwell of Moultrie, Ga.; and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM-8:00PM Friday, July 7, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
