MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Joy Ann Rollins Ingram, 84, of Moultrie died Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Legacy Village.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2017 at Moultrie First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stephen Grantham and Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Joe Shown, Bill Colson, Manis Long and Paul Lively.
Born March 4, 1933 in Jefferson, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Gertie and Rich Rollins. Joy was an active member of Moultrie First United Methodist Church and loved traveling with the Pacesetters. Joy was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Before her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper at Mattco and Scruggs Concrete Co. She thoroughly adored her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had very special friends from Ivy Lane and new friends from Legacy Village including their caregivers and staff. Her favorite pastime was playing BINGO.
Joy is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, C.S. "Pete" Ingram of Moultrie; son R.S. "Rusty" Ingram and wife Robie of Valdosta; daughters Sheila Ingram Colvin of Bogart, Ga., and Beth Ingram Webb and husband David of Williston, S.C. Grandchildren include: Kirby Ingram Biddle [Taylor] of Valdosta, Carlton Wade Ingram of Atlanta, Mary Catherine Colvin Jones [Brandon] of Charleston, S.C., and Russell Webb of Greenville, S.C. Taten and Rollins Biddle are her great-grandchildren. Albert Lynn (Uncle Honey) Rollings of Jefferson, S.C., is her brother.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at First Methodist Church.
