MOULTRIE, GA -- Emma Ruth Rogers Broom, 90, of Moultrie, GA died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Pruitt Health-Magnolia Manor.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating.
Interment will be in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born December 8, 1926 in Montgomery, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mason Rogers and Annie Ruth Thompson Rogers. Mrs. Broom retired from Swift Company as a meat packer and was a member of Funston Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Grady Broom; grandson, Joshua Broom; seven brothers and sisters, Hoyle Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, Cloyd Rogers, Louise Rogers Strickland, Mary Rogers Murphy, Dorothy Rogers Winkleman and Nell Rogers Jay.
Survivors include her son, Gary Broom and wife Carol of Moultrie, GA; granddaughter, Rebecca Broom of Moultrie, GA; two sisters, Betty Rogers Taylor of Moultrie, GA and Peggy Rogers Price of Cairo, GA; two brothers, Bob Rogers of Martinez, GA and Tommy Rogers of Moultrie, GA.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM - 11:00AM Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
