MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Eleanor Ann Arwood Willett, 72, of Moultrie, Ga. died Monday, February 13, 2017 at Legacy Village at Park Regency.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Grantham and the Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Bryan Arwood, Jack Newsome, Cliff Newsome, Bill McIntosh, Rob Howell and Steve Godwin.
Born December 22, 1944 in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Jack W. Arwood and Eleanor Margaret Blanton Arwood. Mrs. Willett taught school for 6 years for the Department of Defense in Germany and Okinawa and retired from the Colquitt County Board of Education as a school teacher for 39 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her family remembers how she enjoyed FSU football for many years, enjoyed traveling, loved German food, M&M's and Coca-Colas. Mrs. Willett loved her bulldog, Bookis, tremendously.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Robert Darrell Willett of Moultrie, Ga.; step-daughter, Amy Willett Trussell, Boca Raton, Fla.; two grandchildren, Tyler K. Trussell and Lillian Ann Trussell; two sisters, Sidney Arwood Newsome and husband Bunker of Moultrie, Ga., Beth Arwood Scully of Orlando, Fla.; brother, Jack Warren Arwood of Moultrie, Ga., and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM -8:00PM Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
