DOERUN, Ga. -- Charles Ray Fambro, 68, of Doerun, Ga., died Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Pastor Daniel Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Casketbearers will be John Watson, Austin Watson, Zach Watson, Steve Apperson, Bobby Ray Cummings and Bailey Heard.
Born April 6, 1949 in Forsyth, Ga., he was the son of the late Lum David Fambro and Bernice Evelyn Harper Fambro. He was a truck driver with Watson Trucking and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Fambro loved to fish, canoeing down the rivers and enjoyed talking having conversations with people.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Anne Watson Fambro; and brother, Robert Fambro.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Underwood and fiance Daniel Hunter of Moultrie, Melina Wade and husband Robby of Lizella, Ga.; son, Charles Brian Fambro of Doerun, Ga.; brother, Dee Fambro and wife Margie of Lizella, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Joshua Ray Fambro, Makenna Wade, Hannah Fambro, Emily Underwood, James Hunter III, Summer Fambro and Abby Fambro; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt Fambro and Chandler Pate; and best-friend and beloved pet, Paco.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM - 2:00PM Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
