MOULTRIE, GA. -- William Homer "Billy" McCoy, 75, of Moultrie, Ga., died Monday, November 27, 2017 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Grantham and the Rev. Robert McCoy Jr. officiating.
Born November 1, 1942 in Waycross, Ga., he was the son of the late John F. McCoy Sr. and Margaret Brasington McCoy Dethman. Mr. McCoy was an United States Army Veteran and retired from Newton County as a school teacher. He was the preacher at Lenox Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Davidson McCoy of Moultrie, Ga.; two sons, William Brasington "Bo" McCoy of Orange, Tx., Alexander Morrison "Alex" McCoy and Patty of New Castle, Pa.; step-son, Joseph Davidson Fowler and Cassidy of Moultrie, Ga.; step-grandson, Jax Davidson Fowler; brothers, John McCoy Jr and Barbara of Winston Salem, NC., Robert McCoy and Toni of Moultrie, Ga.; sister, Ann Lindell and Ollie of Jesup, Ga.; grandson to be born, Hudson Frank McCoy; several nieces and nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
