Walter Haywood Crawford MOULTRIE GA. -- Walter Haywood Crawford, 80, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home.
A graveside inurnment service will be held 2:00PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at Pierce Chapel Cemetery in Cairo with the Rev. Will McQueen officiating.
Born March 1, 1939 in Cairo, he was the son of the late Walter Jay Crawford and Lou Ella Bass Crawford. Mr. Crawford was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Crawford; sister, Laverne Johns; brother, Curtis Crawford.
Survivors include his wife, Marion Gael Abrams Crawford of Moultrie; sons, Curtis L. Crawford and wife Annette, Clayton Crawford and wife Chris all of Moultrie; step-daughter, Susan Willis and husband Ricky of Norman Park; brothers, Wayne Crawford and wife Beth of Moultrie, Christine Stripling and husband Charles of Okeechobee FL., Naomi Mitchell and husband Johnny of Cairo; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

I was so looking forward to seeing him at the Brooks reunion on April 6, at Reed Bingham. Loved talking with him, he was always the same every time I saw him. Condolences to Marion and the rest of the family.
