Vanessa Williams Morgan LAKE WALES, Fla. -- Mrs. Vanessa Williams Morgan, 53, formerly of Moultrie, Georgia entered into rest on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the Lake Wales Medical Center in Lake Wales, Florida.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Greater Newton Grove Cathedral. Interment will follow in the Sinner Friend Baptist Church Cemetery, with the repast to conclude in the Fellowship Hall of Sinner Friend Baptist Church. Kendrick Brown, Stacy Brown, Johnny Williams, Alex Williams, Jimmy Townsend and Willie Spradley will serve as active pallbearers.
Vanessa was born on March 30, 1965 in Colquitt County, Georgia to the late Willie B. Williams and the late Annie Ruth Brown Williams.
Vanessa was a member of Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lake Wales, Florida; and member of the church choir.
Vanessa loved to dance.
Vanessa was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Debra Denise Williams and Annie Jewell DeBruce.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, husband Anthony Morgan of Lake Wales, Florida; sons Christopher Williams (Latisha) of Moultrie, Georgia, Antonio Oliver (Felicia) and Andre Morgan, both of Lake Wales, Florida; daughter, Latoria Mordica (Anthony) of Tallahassee, Florida; 3 brothers, Joseph Brown (Sabrina) of Atlanta, Georgia, Willie Williams (Cassandra) of Lake City, Florida, and Albert Williams (Jessie Mae) of Moultrie, Georgia; sisters, Dorothy Sampson, Evelyn Blackwell, Lynette Williams (friend Willie) and Kiwanda Williams, all of Moultrie, Georgia; grandchildren, Majori Williams, Christopher Williams, Jr., and Omari Williams, all of Moultrie, Georgia, Jordan, Noah and Anthony III, all of Tallahassee, Florida, Courtney, Jim'mya and Jamonte, all of Lake Wales, Florida; mother-in-law, Enid Morgan of Lake Wales, Florida; in-laws, Jeffrey Morgan (Dell), Dorrett Morgan, Donna Steele (Lawrence), Mable Heslop (Wayne), Connie Morgan, Richard Morgan (Lydia) David Morgan (Bella) and Seymour Morgan, all of Lake Wales, Florida; special friends, Annie Huffman of Lake Wales, Florida, Vonda Mobley of North Carolina, Carole Vincent of Delaware, Anne Vincent Wood of Winter Haven, Florida, and brother-in-law, Leonard Sampson of Moultrie, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Luke Strong And Son Mortuary Chapel, 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Luke Strong And Son Mortuary, Ltd.
