Mr. Thadieus Philip "T.P." Taylor, age 71, passed away on February 25, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:30 AM in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Milledgeville with Pastor Randy Young officiating. Private interment will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:30 until the service time.
Mr. Taylor was born in Atlanta and had lived in Jonesboro since 1971. He was the son of the late Medford "Sligh" Taylor and Foylee Taylor and was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Paulette Cox Taylor, and two brothers, Medford Davis "Sonny" Taylor, and Travis Randall "T.R." Taylor. Mr. Taylor enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his "favorite pastime" was to sleep. He had retired from Pemberton Truck Lines, was a member of the Lovejoy Family Church of the Nazarene, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his sons, Chad (Amy) Taylor and Nathan "Wade" (Kim) Taylor, both of Loganville; grandchildren, Savannah Morreira, Alexandria Compton, Trent Taylor, Austin Taylor, Kirstin Holden, and Kaitlyn Taylor; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Jachoby, Adeleigh, Bryleigh, Colton, and Chloe.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, Activity Fund.
