MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Retha Rebakah "Becky" Lay, 53, of Moultrie, Ga., died Friday, April 21, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 24. 2017 at Moultrie Church of God with Rev. Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Tony Rhoden, Tracy Hunter, Steve Walden, Jonathan Walden, Mark Walden, Taylor Kidd, Keith Wise and Benjamin McLaughlin.
Born December 29, 1963 in Newton, Ga., she was the daughter of Charlie Odom Jr. and Retha Mae Lamb Odom. Becky was a cosmetologist, Owner/Operator of Head to Toe Salon and a member of Moultrie Church of God. Becky was known by many as "Gigi."
She is preceded in death by her brother Ted Odom.
Survivors include her husband Edwin R. "Toby" Lay Jr. of Moultrie, Ga.; daughter Kristi Griffin and husband Chris of Moultrie, Ga.; stepdaughters Jennifer Long and husband Jason of Lexington, Ky., and Heather Lay also of Lexington, Ky.; stepson Micah Mortimer and wife April of Nashville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren Logan Griffin, Sadie Grace Griffin, Jaydn Coomer, Payton Coomer, Jace Long, Cameron Woods, Kanden Green, Montana Mortimer, Hudson Green and Jace Long; sisters Lisa Sheffield and husband Steve of Moultrie, Ga., Mary Brady and husband Jeff of Thomasville, Ga., and Donna Hodnett and husband Michael of Moultrie, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
