Ralph Louis Bragg MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Chief Ralph Louis Bragg, US Navy Retired, 89, of Moultrie, was transferred from Cobblestone Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 to the great beyond to be with loved ones, friends and shipmates that left before and to wait for those who follow.
Funeral services were held 2:00PM Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Interment, with military honors, followed in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Casketbearers were Alan Smith, David Smith, Ryan Taylor, Doug Strange, David Strange and Chuck DeMott.
Born May 10, 1929 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late John Elijah "J.E." Bragg and Ruby Sloan Bragg. Mr. Bragg retired after 27 years of service as a Chief Photographer with the United States Navy and also was the former owner of Bragg Automobile Service. He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, OlaBelle Hudson Lindsey Bragg; brothers Alton Bragg and Ronald Bragg.
Survivors include his step-daughters, Rhonda Lindsey Hamilton of Moultrie, Joy Lindsey Taylor of Villa Rica GA; step-grandchildren, Melissa Hamilton, Alayna Hamilton, Leanna Taylor Peters and Steve, Ryan Taylor; step-great-grandchildren, Luke Bibiken, Caleb Bibiken, Rhett Peters; sister, Evelyn Bragg Smith of Cordele; niece and nephews, Karen Smith Gilliam and (children Briana and Ben), Alan Smith, David Smith and Beth and (children Kerry and Jordan), Mike Smith; sister-in-law, Janice Hudson DeMott of Moultrie and other family members.
The family received friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM Saturday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
