Moultrie GA -- Patricia Susan "Patti" Holland, 72, of Moultrie, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend John Eubanks officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 10:00 AM.
Honorary casketbearers will be Jack Barber and Joe Amore.
Born December 9, 1946, in Shreveport, LA, Patti attended Fair Park High School and Louisiana Tech University where she majored in Education.
Her parents, Claude Harris Rambin and Fannie Leon Rambin, preceded her in death.
Patti is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years and sweetheart since second grade, Richard Earl "Rick" Holland of Moultrie; by sons Richard Patrick Holland and his wife, Stacy, of Jacksonville, Florida; Phillip Ronald Holland and his wife, Angie, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also survived by four special grandchildren: Dylan Holland, Gunner Holland, and Walker Holland of Jacksonville, Florida, and Adleigh Holland of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Patti retired as office secretary from Heritage Church where she and her husband were members and also served as care group leaders. She was known as a strong woman of faith in Jesus Christ who loved to laugh, have fun and celebrate life with friends and family. She never met a stranger.
Her favorite Bible verse, Philippians 4:6, was a foundation in her life: "Don't be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Colquitt Regional Hospice, PO Box 3548, Moultrie, GA. 31776.
Interment will follow on Friday, January 25, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Forest Park St. Vincent Cemetery in Shreveport, LA.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
