ALBANY, GA.-- Nettie Louvenia Morey Whittington, 76, of Albany, Ga., formerly of Moultrie, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Mr. Brandon Cook officiating.
Born January 1, 1941 in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Nathan Lowell Morey and Sally Williams Morey. Mrs. Whittington retired from Darwood Manufacturer in Pelham as a seamstress. Her family remembers how she loved to sew, bake, dance and enjoyed picking up pecans.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Henry Whittington.
Survivors include a daughter, Frankie JoAnn Cribbs and Bryan of Albany, Ga.; son, Glenn Cook of Moultrie, Ga.; five grandchildren, Amanda Nichols and Chris, Brian Cook and Tiffany, Megan Green and Dustin, Melissa Nichols and Cole, Brandon Cook; ten great-grandchildren, Brooke Nichols, Brianna Nichols, Elizabeth Nichols, Dustin Cook, Daniel Cook, Dylin Cook, Brodie Green, Embree Green, Bentley Cook and Jacob Nichols; sister, Christine Howard of Moultrie, Ga.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
