Born June 22, 1947 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Fred Yarbrough and Ophelia Yarbrough Rodgers. Mr. Yarbrough was a retired truck driver with Beadles Lumber Company and was of the Baptist faith. His family remembers how he loved to fish, go camping and loved his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, George Wendell Hickman.
Survivors included his wife, Mary Sue Weeks Yarbrough of Hartsfield; daughter, Michelle Welch and Billy of Pavo; sons, Jesse James Yarbrough and Shannon of Pooler, Richard Eugene Yarbrough and Tracie of Moultrie, Allen Claudis Hickman and DeeDee of Hurtsboro AL.; grandchildren, Logan Yarbrough, Conner Yarbrough both of Pooler GA., Blake Hickman and Cassie, Brandon Hickman all of Washington PA., Jaron Hickman, Trent Hickman and wife Chelsey all of Panama City FL., Caleb Yarbrough of Moultrie, Brittney Hickman, Brooke Hickman both of Hurtsboro AL., Amber Rose Welch of Pavo; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmie Yarbrough and Virginia of Moultrie.
