Mary Giles QUITMAN-GA.- Mary Elizabeth Gray Giles, 86, of Quitman, died Sunday, January 13, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earl Justice officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, Jamie Giles, Blake Thompson, Gerald Giles, Daniel Giles, Mathew Giles and Gene Irby.
Born January 11, 1933 in Greenville Fla., she was the daughter of the late James Randolph Gray and Abbie Lee Garland Gray Hamilton. Mrs. Giles was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Nazarene Moultrie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Cecil Giles; sons, Cecil Dale Giles, James Randolph Giles; grandson, Kevin Michael Thompson; brothers, James Hamilton and Benny Hamilton.
Survivors include her daughter, Nan Thompson and fiancée Chuck Smithwick of Quitman; sons, Rodney Gerald Giles and Dagmar, Don Lee Giles and Sandy of Phenix City AL; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Smithwick and Jack of Nashville GA, Martha Wilkerson and Royce of Nashville TN., Ruth Chandler and Steve of Clarksville TN., Carolyn Hamilton of Moultrie; brothers, Charles Hamilton of Gordon GA., Raymond Hamilton and Gloria of Foley AL., Jimmy Hamilton and Linda of PA; sisters-in-law, Wanda Hamilton of Moultrie and Ann Hamilton of Clarkesville TN.; brother-in-law, Fred Giles.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
