MOULTRIE -- Mary Strange Gallagher, 85, of Quitman, GA., formerly of Moultrie, GA., died Wednesday June 14, 2017 at the Presbyterian Home and Retirement in Quitman, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Born January 27, 1932 in Moultrie, GA., she was the daughter of the late Horace Lee Strange and Jewell Alvis Strange. Mrs. Gallagher was a retired credit manager from Moultrie Manufacturing Company and a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Frank Gallagher; son-in-law, Gary Teifer; brother, Wayne Strange; two sisters, Helen Strange and Joan Haller.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Gallagher Johnson and Melanie O'Coine Teifer both of Moultrie, GA.; five grandchildren, Wendy Eure Wheeler and Brad, Matt Eure, Marc Eure and Ashley, Patrick Johnson and Nic Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Logan Wheeler, Sydney Wheeler, Allie Eure, Ansley Eure, Ameila Eure and Daylee Eure; sister, Bernice Strange Durland and Richard of Moultrie, GA.; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Strange and Renate of Moultrie, GA.; sister-in-law, Rhetta Strange of Moultrie, GA. and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
