Mary Arwood MOULTRIE, GA.- Mary Elizabeth Barber Arwood, 72, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Ward officiating. Interment was in Leesburg Cemetery.
Born April 9, 1946 in Albany, GA., she was the daughter of the late Frances M. Barber, Sr. and Dorothy Crews Barber. Mrs. Arwood was a retired florist and was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of Moultrie Service League since 1973 and achieved sustaining member in May 1981, member and former Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution John Benning Chapter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wilson Crews Barber, Sr.
Survivors include her children, Jack Warren Arwood III, Bryan James Arwood; niece Donna Barber; sister, Dottie Upchurch and Allen; brother, Frank Barber and Mariann; former husband, J. Warren Arwood, Jr.; cousins, Marilyn and Marion Hay, Gwen Hay and Mrs. Joan Pollard; special caregiver, Sandra Casey; beloved animal lover and she was preceded in death by Duchess, Lillie Belle, Sam, Booger, Lucy and extended family and friends.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.

Bryan, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mother was so much fun and never knew a stranger. You have been the dearest son for caring for her and she loved you so much. May your good memories bring a smile to your face and lighten your sorrow. You and your brother will remain in my prayers.
