MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Marion Massie Plymel, 74, of Moultrie, Ga., died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2017 at Emerald Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Darrell Owens and the Rev. Austin Glass officiating. Interment will follow in Emerald Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Plymel's grandchildren will serve as casketbearers.
Born October 20, 1942 in Moultrie, Ga., he was the son of the late Troy Massey Plymel and Thelma Bragg Plymel. He was the retired owner of Plymel Trucking Inc. and was a member of Emerald Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Plymel loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and his beloved cat, Chloe. He had a good sense of humor; enjoyed car racing, truck driving and working as a mechanic on big trucks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Hawkins Sanderson.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Plymel of Moultrie, Ga.; two children, Keith Plymel and Pam and Regina Plymel Kilgore and Glenn, all of Moultrie, Ga.; brother, Lamar Plymel and Sharon of Norman Park, Ga.; three sisters, Betty Pate of Doerun, Ga., Dorothy Faye Hobby and Martha Jane Lollar, both of Moultrie, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Sgt. Jesse Ball and Christy, Jeremy Ball and Savannah Joslin, Will Kilgore, Tiffani Kilgore, Brandon Plymel and fiance Patricia Rodriguez, Matthew Plymel and Savannah Richardson, Caleb Plymel and Jacob Plymel; four great-grandchildren, Rachel Ball, Abi Ball, Eve Ball and Brinxley Ball; five foster grand-children, William Robinson, Kalee Kilgore, Dakota Kilgore, Zach Kilgore and Rose Kilgore and other family members.
The family received friends from 6:00PM - 8:00PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
