Lula Mae's Story
BERLIN, Ga. -- Lula Mae Bryan Sanderson, 88, of Berlin, Ga., died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Funston Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Tillman officiating.
Casketbearers will be Bill Powell, Jason Powell, Jeremy Saylor, Jonathan Hickman, Shane VanLandingham, Josh Shrout and Austin Shrout.
Born December 1, 1929 in Doerun, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Murray Bryan and Zola Hall Bryan. Mrs. Sanderson retired from Doerun Sportswear as a seamstress and was of the Baptist faith. Her family remembers how she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband, Wilburn Woodrow Sanderson; sister, Mary Ethel Clark.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Faye Powell and Dennis of Berlin, Ga., Betty Ione Saylor and Wayne of Sycamore, Ga., Virginia VanLandingham and Lloyd of Cairo, Ga.; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Bock of Appleton City, Mo.; brother, Charles Bryan of Plant City, Fla.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
