Lola Jean's Story
NORMAN PARK, GA. -- Lola Jean "Willis" Elder Willis, 84, of Norman Park, Ga., died Monday, December 4, 2017 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Michael Williams, David Williams, Greg Key, Ricky Williams, Bill Howard and Edwin Weeks.
Born September 27, 1933 in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Paul Elder and Gladys Griffin Elder. Mrs. Willis retired from Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic as an optician and attended Norman Park United Methodist Church. Her family remembers how she enjoyed needlepointing and working in her yard.
Survivors include two children, Regenia Willis Wells and Lawrence Willis both of Norman Park, Ga.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Dean "Dinky" Williams of Moultrie, Ga., Earnestine Akers of Panama City, Fla.; brother, Paul D. Elder of Roswell, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM-2:00PM Thursday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
