MOULTRIE, GA. -- Lillie Frances Mizell Ricks, 84, of Moultrie, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2017; at the home of her daughter, Lillie Mizell Ricks Harris, surrounded by family, in Lakeland Fla.
Graveside rites will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in Westview Cemetery with Alton J. "Butch" Parrish officiating.
Born January 19, 1933 in Axson, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Grady Glenn Mizell and Gladys Williams Mizell. Mrs. Ricks and her late husband, were the owners of Ricks Merchandise and she was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Ricks; an infant child, Renee Ricks; brothers, Kay Lindsay and William Landrum Mizell.
Survivors include her son, James Edgar Ricks, Jr.; daughter and son in law, Lillie Mizell and Michael Clifton Harris; grandchildren, Michael Clifton Harris, Jr., James Edgar Cole Harris, Anna Claire Harris, all of Lakeland Fla.; sisters, Loraine Stone of Macon, Ga., Hilda Markette of Ambrose, Ga., Dorthalene Knowles of Deland, Fla., Magdalene Gill of Hoboken, Ga., Mandlon Blount of Reidsville, Ga. and Peggy Vickers of Wray, Ga.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association of America, Georgia Chapter, 225 Second St., East, Tifton, Ga. 31794. The family of Frances Ricks wishes to thank Good Shepherd Hospice of Lakeland Fla.
