Lillian's Story

Mrs. Lillian Floyd, 94, of Fayetteville, GA., formerly of Moultrie passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Southland Health & Rehab in Peachtree City. Mrs. Floyd was born June 19, 1923 to the late Lucius Terrell Wingate and Beatrice McDaniel Wingate. She was a member of Autreyville Baptist Church and also owned and operated Floyds Supermarket in Moultrie for many years with her husband. She retired from Belk's as a Merchandise Buyer.
Survivors include her children, Dennis (Gail) Floyd of Tyrone, GA., and Wayne Floyd of Fayetteville, GA.; two grandchildren, Chad (Brandy) Floyd of Tyrone and Paige (Kerry) Howell of Macon; five great-grandchildren, Parker Floyd, Lily Floyd, John Kerry Howell, Jane Howell, and Bo Howell; two brothers, Carlton Wingate of Ettawah, N.C., and Joe (Mary Frank) Wingate of Quitman. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Floyd.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Pam France officiating. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www,maxwellmillierfuneralhome.com. Maxwell-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements .
