MOULTRIE, Ga. - LeVonne "Lee" Zess Willis, 77, of Moultrie died Friday, February 10, 2017 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 13, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Father Alfonso Gutierrez officiating with interment to follow in Westview Cemetery.
Casketbeares will be Kirk Friendlander, Dr. James Huffman, Cole Willis, Joe Sumner, Rich Hoffman and Brian Bailey.
Born March 4, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Roy Frank Zess and the late Vera Marie Zess. She graduated from Moultrie High School in 1957 and then attended Florida State University and University of Georgia where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Mrs. Willis was past President of the Moultrie Service League where she received the outstanding member award in 1972.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Chad Willis and grandson Bradley Bennett Willis.
Survivors include her husband Bennett Talmadge Willis of Moultrie, sons Bennett T. Willis Jr. and wife Leize of Johns Island, S.C., R. Zess Willis and wife Beth of Montgomery, Ala., and Hayden L. Willis and wife Jena of Moultrie, Ga., grandchildren Clark Cole Willis and wife Brittany, Savannah Willis Bailey and husband Brian, Statom Willis, Candler Willis and Robert Bennett, great-grandchildren Olivia Willis and Sara Bradley Willis.
Memorials can be made to the Friends of the Moultrie Colquitt County Library at 204 5th Street Southeast Moultrie, GA. 31768.
