JESUP, Ga. -- June Aldridge Manley, 87, of Jesup died Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Harborview Nursing Home after an extended illness.
The Moultrie native was a majorette and graduate of Moultrie High School and then attended Georgia State Women's College. She was a member of Jesup First Baptist Church, the Berean-Dorcas Sunday School Class, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Pine Forest Ladies Golf Association and Marietta Grasshoppers Golf Club. June enjoyed playing bridge, golf, water skiing, reading and traveling. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Leon Manley; a son, Lee Manley; parents, W.O. and Jennie Veasey Aldridge; sister, Miriam Aldridge Forest.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Karen Manley of Anderson, South Carolina; two daughters and sons-in law, Micki and Steve Holley of Lawrenceville and Jackie and Randy Parks of Jesup; 9 grandchildren, Joshua Holley, Benjamin Holley, Rebecca Spivey, Chris Manley, Rhea Tomczyk, Ashley Reed, Jessica Ravanel, Kadie Branch and Kim Shore; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Rowe of Moultrie and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Dr. Felix Haynes officiating. Private family interment will be in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the staffs of Mossy Oak and Harborview Nursing Homes.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M. prior to services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jesup First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 1115, Jesup, Ga. 31598.
