Events

John Owen "Alton" Eunice, 82, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, 8, 2019 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with his son-in-law Rev. Timothy Linick officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Cody Patterson and Trevor Linick.
Born February 25, 1937, he was the son of the late Simmie Owens Eunice and Betty Mae McCoy Eunice. He was also preceded in death by his son, Danny Ray Eunice, brother Jimmie Don Eunice, sister Samone Hampton, and son-in-law, Pat Patterson.
Mr. Eunice was serving in the United States Air Force when he married Margaret Ann Baker of Illinois on October 4, 1956 - she survives. He worked most of his life as a salesman of cars, motor homes, and travel trailers. In the last 20 years of his life, he recommitted his life to Christ and faithfully attended church. He enjoyed cooking for and sharing produce with friends and family.
He is also survived by his seven children: John Eunice and wife Cindy of Moultrie, Kim Myers and husband Doug of Lakeland, TN, Vickie Patterson of Thomasville, GA, Tammy Roberts and husband Randy of Urbana, IL, Kenny Eunice and wife Anna Ashley of Lake City, FL, Karla Linick and husband Tim of Glasgow, KY, and Lori Craddock and husband Don of Urbana, IL; sister Janie Croft of Moultrie, and brother Bobby and his wife Linda of Moultrie; 18 grandchildren: Amber Day, Ashton Wilson, Elisabeth Myers, Danny Myers, Ashley Nichols, Jonathon Myers, Victoria Croft-Rashkow, Cody Patterson, Benjamin Roberts, Nathaniel Roberts, and Brianna Roberts, Bo Eunice, Leah Garcia, John Buck Eunice, Kensie Linick, Trevor Linick, Brandon Craddock, and Hunter Craddock; 16 great-grandchildren: Ty Hurst, Emili Copeland, London Myers, Evelyn Nichols, Lydia Nichols, Nora Nichols, Calvin Nichols, Brinley Myers, David James Myers, Lauren Myers, Douglas Myers, Philip Myers, Savannah Won, Spencer Won, Wyatt Eunice, Leo Patterson.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
