Joan Bolen Holman MOULTRIE -- Joan Bolen Holman, 88, of Moultrie, formerly of Valdosta, Ga., died Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Magnolia Manor.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Marston and Rev. Edward Bolen officiating. Private interment will follow.
Born August 8, 1930 in Birmingham, AL., she was the daughter of the late John R. Bolen Sr. and Minnie Leigh DuBose Bolen. Mrs. Holman was a homemaker. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, member of the John Benning Chapter of the DAR, Moultrie Service League and the Morning Glory Garden Club. Mrs. Holman loved her family and enjoyed her bridge group and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lindsay Holman Jr.; twin brother, John R. Bolen Jr.; sister, Virginia Bennett.
Survivors include her sons, John Lindsay Holman III of Moultrie, GA., Will Bolen Holman and Jane of Moultrie, GA., and Thomas Patrick Holman of Moultrie, GA.; grandchildren, Maggie Holman, Kate Cyprian and Jon, Mary Grace Holman, Patrick Holman, Stephen Holman and Bethany Holman; brother, James L. Bolen and Phyllis of Winter Park, FL., and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M.-2:00 P.M. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 201 12th Ave. S.E., Moultrie, Ga 31768 or to the charity of your choice.
