Jewell's Story

MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Jewell Carter Duncan, 94, of Moultrie, Ga., passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Grantham officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Casketbearers will be Harvey Barnes, Ken Duncan, Terry Duncan, Jack Duncan, Len Duncan, DeWayne Clayton, David Carter and Joel Carter.
Born April 4, 1923 in Moultrie, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Luke Cecil Carter and Elizabeth Pope Carter. Mrs. Duncan retired from Riverside Manufacturing as a project manager and was associated with Moultrie Housing Authority and Bob's Athletic. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Moultrie.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Duncan Young and fiancé Patrick H. Lane of Jasper, Ga.; two grandsons, Travis Whitney Young and wife Angie and Brent Colin Young and wife Ashley; one great-grandson, Dustin Coombs; several nieces and nephews; and a grand-dog Marley.
The family will receive friends from 1:00PM -2:00PM Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
