Jerrell L. Burgess Jarrell L. Burgess, 73 of Moultrie, died Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Tuesday March 19, 2019 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Dee officiating. Interment will be at Sardis Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jerome Burgess, Kaleb Moore, Lester Faircloth, Rickey Dean, Austin Watson, Daniel Montgomery and Walker Burgess.
Mr. Burgess was born July 27, 1945 in Moultrie to the late Harvey Eugene Burgess and Gladys Allman Burgess. He was a retired Truck Driver with Modern Welding of Orlando, FL and of the Baptist Faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sons, Steve Collins and Donnie Collins; brothers, Kenny Burgess and Darrell Burgess; sisters, Janice Goolsby and Barbara Jean Burgess.
Survivors are his wife Edna Dora Lamb Burgess of Moultrie; sons, Jerome Eugene Burgess and Sallie of Pavo, Kim Collins and wife Mary of Orlando; daughter, Kathy Faircloth and husband Lester of Quitman; grandchildren, Jessie Moore and husband Kaleb of Moultrie, Hunter Burgess of Pavo, Walker Burgess of Pavo, Shelby Montgomery and husband Daniel of Quitman; great grandchild, Dallas Moore.
Visitation will be from 6-8 Monday March 18, 2019 at Baker Funeral Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.

Jerrell was a very special person. He was full of humor . I have wonderful memories visiting with him,Edna, Kathy ,Jerome and the rest of the crew. Shrimping oh man what a time. RIP my friend.

Jerrell was a good man . I enjoyed getting together with him an talking and hearing all the stories about his pass . He would tell me things about the family I did know an things he had been through. Jerrell will be missed. RIp Jerrell you are loved an will never be forgotten. God has a special place for him . I know he is with the rest of the family now that has gone before him an they are rejoicing in heaven. God bless this man.
