WORTH COUNTY, Ga. -- James Edgar Gray, 86, of Worth County, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Creek Church. Casketbearers will be Dylan Gray, Rooter Gray, Brad Hinson, Johnathan Sutton, Jason Hinson and Chris Carlton.
Born on December 15,1931, in Worth County, he was the son of the late Frank Pickett Gray and Lettie Alyse Booth Gray. He was a Korean War veteran and he also worked as a farmer. He was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Annie Joyce Hartsfield Gray; son, James Stephens Gray; brothers, Doyle Gray and Charlie Frank Gray; grandchild, Shun Sikes.
Survivors include his son, Joe Gray and wife Melissa of TyTy; daughters, Mynette Sikes of Omega and Sarah Gray Parks and husband Jamie of Valdosta; daughter-in-law, Linda Powell Gray of Omega; sister, Juanita Hufstetler of Albany, Margaret Carlton and husband Thomas of Hephzibah; grandchildren, James Stephens "Rooter" Gray Jr. and wife Jamie, Amy Gray of Norman Park, Brad Hinson and wife Debra, Staci Sikes Sutton and husband Johnathan, Anna Parks and Brandi Parks, Jennifer Parks, Dylan Gray Eric Moore and wife Kristin, Ryan Moore and Jana Parks; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 31, 2017 from 3pm-5pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
