BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- We are saddened to mark the passing of Iris Croll Love of Birmingham, Ala. She lived a beautiful and bountiful life, gracing all she met with love, laughter and a special light.
Born in Macclenny, Fla., Iris was the daughter of the late Donovan Croll and Grace Blanton Croll.
Her early life was spent in Moultrie, Ga. She graduated from Valdosta State College. She and her husband Lamar lived over 50 years in Cahaba Heights, Ala. Iris taught school for several decades at the Cahaba Heights Elementary School.
Her family was extraordinarily blessed to have walked and laughed on this earth with her for our special time together. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lamar Love, sister, Jacqueline Croll Crozier and daughter, Tamara Love.
She will be deeply missed by her family; daughter, Kelly Love (Joseph Pannell); grandchildren, Brian Williams and Sarah Williams Butler (Ryan) and grandchild; sisters, Martha Croll King and Donna Croll; nephews and nieces Courtney Crozier, Don King and Kara Bunte.
Memorial services were held on March 9, 2017.
